I loved the movie and decided to buy this back in January. It's been delayed at least three times since then. I'm hoping it arrives in April, if not then this sucks. I'm relieved to read that I'm not the only one, it's infuriating to see everyone else recieve their book on time and enjoy it while you sit and wait for your copy to be delayed once again...
I like it! the book is really nice quality, and the shipping is really fast even I'm in HongKong.
Incredible and a masterpiece and I’m reading five stars. However, my experience is worse. Because I ordered this product December 19, (the day after I saw the movie) and they pushed back the shipping till February, something went wrong with the order, and then they push back the shipping from in between March and May. That’s absurd. I do understand that things happen with shipping, but it’s been going on five months. I shouldn’t have to wait that long for a book I can buy anywhere else.
This has to be one of the best art books I own at the moment. Stunning and beautiful! It’s packed full of sketches, visual development, and heavy world building. I highly recommend getting this book.
There was a one page that was folded when this book arrived. I assume this happened during the printing process. I don’t want to leave a negative review on this book because of this but I thought I should mention this.
This has got to be one of the best 'Art Of' books I own. My first reaction to it was surprise at how dense it is! It has more pages than a lot of other art books. The artwork inside is just as stunning and vibrant as the movie was. I thought there was a perfect amount of text vs imagery. Also, there are quite a couple fold-out story board spreads and color comps, which is always a wonderful addition. One of my favorite things about it was the journey the artists went through from initial character designs to final. It has everything I could ever want in an art book!
I finally got this art book last week after ordering in December. I just started reading it today and once I got to page 12, it then starts page 49. Come to find out the whole section from pages 13-25 are missing and I have pages 49-65 twice. I even went through the whole book to see if the missing pages were placed somewhere else but no, they are completely gone. I hate to return it since it took so long to get to me but what else can I do? Severely disappointed for sure.
Everything in this book is as gorgeous as I pretty much expected it to be and I love everything you learn about the process and insights behind the film. This makes a great gift!
Luckily I bought mine just for myself because it came with a scratch across the cover that ran from Miles' cheek to the top of his nose, deep enough to show on the hard cover under the jacket. I bit disappointed about that. It was packaged very well so I wonder if something happened during production.
